The qualified applicant will provide on-site support in Colorado Springs, CO to the Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Force Design Integration Office (FDIO).  The applicant will conduct technical analysis to assess, document, communicate air, land, and sea warfighter activities and dependencies on space architectures and operations.  Candidate will collaborate with SWAC Program subject matter experts, conduct independent analysis and modeling, and ensure effective representation of dependencies in modeling software and simulation engines. Additionally, the qualified candidate will collaborate on analysis conducted by SWAC integrated analytic teams. The applicant must have a technical depth and breadth of space capabilities and systems engineering with an understanding of complex analysis and industry capabilities and best practices.  The candidate will actively coordinate with SWAC model and simulation experts across SWAC programs and have or develop robust familiarity with SWAC M&S tools. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze future warfighting concepts and mission areas to assess and document (Adversary and/or Joint) interdependencies for the purpose of enabling model-based system engineeringDevelop dependency models compatible with digital engineering software and consistent with community best practicesEnhance SWAC Program and Integration Layer analysis Interface with SWAC Program technical experts and DoD analytic partnersArticulate technical space system design recommendations and trade space decisions based on warfighting impactSupport high-visibility space-based capability studies

Required Skills:

STEM Bachelor’s Degree10+ years space operations or space acquisition experienceExperience with space design and/or architecture development including satellite ground systemsExperience with and knowledge of DoD, IC, and commercial satellite systemsUnderstanding of complex technical issues and produce recommendations for a wide audienceApply critical thinking in complex and dynamic organizational environmentsHave strong communication skills (technical writing, developing presentations, briefing, etc.)Strong technical backgroundEfficiency in developing system behavior models using SySML or UAFSCI and Special Access Required eligibilityCI Poly eligibilityAbility to travel as needed

Salary Range: 

$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
