KBR is seeking a highly qualified Spacecraft Engineer to provide support to our customer that operates, maintains, and reports the status of intelligence satellites and their associated ground systems, provides defensive space control and space protection, monitors satellite flight safety, and provides space situational awareness. This effort includes support to innovation labs developing new tools, models, and algorithms to operate and exploit satellite space and ground systems.
As a Spacecraft Engineer, you have the in-depth experience and knowledge of spacecraft to include spacecraft bus, thermodynamics, propulsion, power, instrumentation, radiation shielding, navigation and control, and orbitology.
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of expertise and experience and knowledge of spacecraft to include spacecraft bus, thermodynamics, propulsion, power, radiation shielding, instrumentation, navigation and control, and orbitology.Ability to deliver lab innovations and mission operations advanced supportActive TS/SCI with polygraphBachelor’s degree in STEM or related quantitative science fieldPreferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in engineering or related quantitative science field Experience leading teams resulting in successful verification and test strategies/solutions for complex programsExperience with cloud development processesExperience with industry system engineering practicesStrong interpersonal skills in order to influence, collaborate and work effectively with all levels of internal and external leadershipSecurity Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Basic Compensation: $114,600 - $171,900
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
