We have an exciting opportunity for a Spacecraft Rendezvous and Proximity Operations GN&C Simulation Engineer to join our team with JETS II Teammate company, Mb Solutions, Inc. \n

This position will work on the JETS Rendezvous, Proximity Operations, and Capture (RPOC) team developing onorbit Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) simulations in support of Commercial Visiting Vehicle missions to the International Space Station (ISS). \n

The selected applicant will: \n
\n\nProvide math modeling, simulation development, integration, and testing of commercial visiting vehicle GN&C systems using an established software process \nPerform and document simulation verification and validation (V&V) \nCreate and deliver math model and simulation documentation \n Identify team simulation tasks, resolve simulation issues, and assist team members \nDirectly interact with the NASA customer and other NASA support contractors during technical meetings and working groups \nPerform other duties as required \n\n

Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised. \n\nRequires a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. \nExperience with Linux, C\/C++ and\/or Python \nExperience with version control systems \nExperience with GN&C principles \nExperience developing, verifying, and validating math models and simulations \nAbility to apply knowledge\/experience towards timely completion of technical products & services \nExcellent communication and documentation skills \nAbility to work in a multi-company team environment \nStrong leadership skills \n\n

Requisition Preferences: \n
\n\nBachelor's degree in engineering (or a related field) from an ABET accredited engineering school \nExperience with spacecraft rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking \nExperience with orbital mechanics \nExperience with Git\/GitLab \n Experience with dynamic simulator development for building flight simulators (e.g., Unreal game engine or similar resources) \nExperience with simulation visualization and graphics packages, particularly JSC EDGE or DOUG \nExperience with JSC TRICK Simulation Environment \nExperience with JEOD (JSC Engineering Orbital Dynamics) modeling package \nExperience with LaTeX \nExperience in product delivery and management utilizing source code management tools \nProficiency in MATLAB\/Simulink \nNASA flight operations and procedures \n\n
