Overview We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and proactive individual to join our Latin America and Caribbean Team in a Pro Rata Handler role based in Ipswich. You will be providing service to clients in region as well as Producers, Brokers and Junior Broker colleagues. The successful candidate will have Spanish language skills. How you'll make an impact On a daily basis you’ll analyse technical claims documentation received from Clients making sure they’re compliant with the contractual conditions. You’ll process and monitor Client figures using our accounting system in line with specified key performance indicators and contractual conditions. You’ll make sure that that our client’s money is handled securely, efficiently and in a fully auditable way. You’ll be responsible for the fiscal relationship of your portfolio and you’ll be the main contact when it comes to all matters relating to payments. You’ll prepare presentations for clients and markets including assisting those working on placement support by providing renewal information, statistics and any technical advice as required. You’ll actively service your accounts to a high standard, making sure that monies due to and due from clients are handled in a timely fashion, enabling us to meet our financial objectives. You’ll also make sure that everything meets our policies and client service aims, like our Client Excellence Model and other regulatory requirements, which means you’ll: Perform Second Pair Of Eyes (SPOE) checks at relevant stages in the process, making sure all sanctions touch-points are covered Analyse and interrogate reinsurance contracts to facilitate billing within agreed timescales Adhere to standard Group policies and procedures and other regulatory requirements Work together with other Colleagues, both within and outside own team, to ensure effective delivery of Client service to Gallagher Re clients Ensure internal, Client and market correspondence is stored as per process guidelines Support Accounting and Settlement associates to ensure that all financial aspects are handled in a timely manner for the secure, efficient and auditable handling of client monies About You Educated to A level standard or relevant industry experience Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel) Good Interpersonal Skills (Written and Verbal) Attention to detail Organised with the ability to prioritise Ability to work in a team and autonomously; and general willingness to learn and grow Confident in building strong working relationships with both brokers and clients Good time management skills Knowledge of reinsurance would be an advantage but not essential Spanish language skills are essential for this position Eligible to work in the UK.
