Job Summary:
SPC Utility’s primarily responsible for inspecting packaging, labeling and monitoring packaging, and changeover finishing equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Must operate Lift truck Be sure the count of material on the pallets is accurate Remove and replace pallets Enter Production Assist in startup and shutdown Back up to other operators in the line Assist in general clean-up and maintenance Responsible for personal safety and participating in the plant safety process Monitor the finishing line box forming, packaging, and palletizing process. Set up box-forming equipment for various sizes of boxes. Keep supply count Communicate defects and issues to appropriate manufacturing team members Assist with changeover Use a hoist/crane when necessary Inspect and sort off-quality as needed Fix jams on the line Assist with the changeover of parts on the line
Expectations (if applicable):
Lifting is required of tools and parts with varying weights of 20-100 pounds. Standing and climbing on and off the lift truck is required. Bending is required to pick up parts and tools or do work multiple times a day. Occasionally required to climb, balance, and kneel.
Experience/Education Requirements:
LTO-certified experience preferred High school graduate or GED preferred Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, or sit for long periods, work in tight spaces, lift and maneuver objects of 50+ poundsOther Requirements:
Overtime is required on occasion. Perform any other duties as assigned.
