An amazing opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Specialist. This role will play a vital role in the efficient operations of the site ensuring high availability and reliability of critical systems. The role will involve using computerised systems and other data to make decisions, with teams across the site with a Safety First, Quality Always position. The role will require shift work. The role reports to an Associate Director Engineering.

What you will do:

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:

Monitoring performance of all critical safety and utilities systems to ensure that they performing to site requirements, work with Process Team Management, Service Providers on troubleshooting, escalation and resolution of issues.Document performance in shift reports ensure information is transferred from shift to shift.Work with Site Planners on Integrated Site Plan for planned outages and maintenance activities.Manage and provide assistance to service providers to ensure proper maintenance of equipment.Co-ordinate and approve permits in all non-process areas ensure safety procedures are adhered to.Perform site walks to verify EHS and Quality standards are adhered.Act as first responder / incident controller for any site EHS events, conduct and document investigation and problem solving for any issues that occur during the shift.Develop and provide input into Operating Procedure and Training materials.Identification of improvement opportunities and lead small projects.Training of staff and contractors.

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

Experience of operations and maintenance in a biologic’s facilityIncident Response and ManagementHigh Focus on Safety and Quality ComplianceExpertise and capability of managing high risk activities –e.g., Confined Space Entry, Hot Works, Line Breaking, Electrical SwitchingProblem Solving and Decision MakingExperience of predictive and preventative maintenance.Experience of managing vendors and contractors including permitting of activitiesWorking knowledge of SAP or another Maintenance Management SystemExcellent organising and planning skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a cross functional collaborative environment.High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilitiesConfidence to respond positively when under pressure.An engineering qualification with evidence of continuous professional development.Trained in a number of High-Risk Activities e.g. Confined Space, Electrical Switching, Line BreakingDesirable –Electrical Qualification
