Responsibilities

Job Duties

Cleaning processing assembly and distribution of supplies and equipment to multiple hospital departments. Maintains inventory control and supply ordering. Maintains the Cental Service work environment and supplies within accepted practices.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Holds a current certification from one of the following organizations: 1) Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Inc. 2) Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. Holds a current BLS certificationSix to twelve months of related experiencePrevious acute care experience in hospital with supplies with emphasis on knowledge of medical supplies.

Special Skills:

Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members. Demonstrates working knowledge of hospital safety policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation used in surgical and invasive procedures. Demonstrates ability to prioritize work work without close supervision and has a memory for details. Ability to function in fast-paced ever-changing environment. Ability to respond to telephone requests quickly and accurately. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical supplies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Three years experience as an Instrument Tech Certified in Central Services preferred
