SPD Tech - Sterile Processing

3pm - 11pm (5 days per week / 8 hrs. per shift)

Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and be on call.

Job Description:

The SPD Technician ensures the safety and quality of patient care by meticulously sterilizing and preparing medical instruments, equipment, and supplies for use in surgical procedures and patient care areas.

The SPD Tech works closely with healthcare professionals in the operating room, procedural areas, and sterile supply department to maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control standards.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required, or higher

Must obtain Certification as a Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or Certified Sterile Processing and

Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required within 18 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous SPD experience or healthcare-related experience preferred.

Completion of a sterile processing technician program preferred.
