SPD Technician-Sterile Processing

 Full-Time, Third Shift

Surgical Services I Lexington, KY

Sterile Processing department provides quality instrument care needs to all areas of the hospital and BHMG offices. They are responsible for decontamination, assembling, sterilizing, and maintaining of all instruments that come to the department. They collaborate closely with OR, cath lab, labor and delivery for their instrumentation needs. 

Description for SPD Technician-Sterile Processing:

Processing patient supplies and surgical instruments.Decontamination of instruments, equipment and patient reusable supplies.Assist with maintaining departmental inventory.Ensures positive customer relations interactions.On call weekends, weeknights, and holidays by rotation.

Requirements for SPD Technician-Sterile Processing:

High School Diploma/equivalent.Certification IAHCSMM or CBSPD (Preferred)BCLS by the end of orientation
