SPDR Institutional Sales Specialist - Asset Management, VP II - State Street Global Advisors

State Street Global Advisors is looking for a motivated and experienced ETF sales specialist to develop relationships with our largest asset manager and hedge fund clients in the New York City territory. 

As a member of our Institutional Sales team, you will be responsible for representing the best of the SPDR brand and acting as a subject matter expert to our growing asset manager and hedge fund client base.  Your responsibilities will include direct coverage and development of asset manager relationships with a focus on increasing market share and revenue. 

To be successful, you will need to develop a deep understanding of our products, our clients and our firm.  You will need to effectively collaborate with the Fixed Income Group, our extended Sales teams, Capital Markets Group, Marketing, Research and Product teams.  You will need to clearly leverage existing relationships as well as prospect future ETF clients.

This role is part our Institutional Sales team, reporting directly to the Head of Asset Manager and Hedge Fund Sales.  

As Sales Specialist, you will:

Develop and deliver a clear sales strategy for driving ETF assets and revenue in the New York City territory.Become a leader in the sales organization by establishing and implementing territory plan to maximize the distribution of SPDR ETFs.Manage key Asset Manager relationships.Direct Sales Coverage of existing clients, while leveraging our extensive Institutional franchise to grow our client base.Collaborate with internal resources across our Institutional Sales Group, Product, Marketing, and Capital Market to deliver the best of State Street to our clients.Become an expert in our products, use cases and composition.Represent the firm in client presentations, industry events and forums.Encourage, mentor and lead the younger members of our Institutional Sales team.

These skills will help you succeed in this role

FINRA Series 7 and 63 Required, MBA or CFA Preferred5+ years of industry experience, preferably with derivatives, ETF and/or Fixed IncomeStrong verbal, written and presentation skillsPossess a strong understanding of the financial services industry and global capital markets productsDeep familiarity of Asset Manager  Investor base – decision makers, buying behavior and prioritiesMotivated individual with a Positive attitudeAbility to generate  creative solutions / analysisIntellectually curious and strong attention to detailAbility to multi-task long-term and short-term goals and projects effectively and efficientlyOutstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skillsStrong quantitative aptitudeExcel and PowerPoint expertiseTravel required 25-40%

Salary Range:

$165,000 - $247,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
