Overview Maintain a high level of knowledge of third party payor reimbursement rates for all contracted payors, have an understanding of contract terminology, understand coordination of benefits provisions and timely filing rules. Ensure prompt follow-up on unpaid claims. Meet productivity standards and at the same time ensure quality work is maintained. Qualifications Required Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred Education: High school diploma with major in business operations/practices or Associate degree in Business Administration or Accounting. Necessary Skills: 1. Aptitude for math, computer and software operations, and keyboarding. 2. Ability to develop and present clearly articulated oral and written communication. 3. Ability to read and understand Federal, State and Local regulatory information applicable to patient accounting and healthcare services. 4. Use of Mirosoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. 5. Use of Database applications preferrred. Required Experience: 1-2 years business office or healthcare experience Preferred Experience: Three to five (3-5) years experience in admitting, billling and collecting.
