Your role at Baxter:
Perform collections activities on outstanding accounts receivable for assigned Medicare Advantage Plan third party payers.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Perform collections activities on all outstanding claims for assigned payersDemonstrate a basic understanding of compliance policies for Baxter, including commercial and government payersUnderstand and consistently contribute to team goals, as well as how they support greater organizational goalsEnter and work all denials received from assigned payers within specified timeframeCreate, submit, and follow through on appeals for assigned payersResearch and reconcile credit balances on accountsProcess corrected claims and/or rebills to assigned payers as neededProcess adjustments following the established policy and proceduresDocument and follow up on explanations of benefits (EOBs)Identify and articulate trending payer issues and notify appropriate leaders in a timely mannerProvide quality customer service, with the ability to speak knowledgably to payers, patients, and other stakeholdersAbility to verify benefits and understand coverage criteriaDemonstrate a basic understanding of the business modelUnderstand and follow department policies, procedures, work instructions, job aids, and standard work requirementsMaintain regular, positive communication with colleagues, business partners, and stakeholdersProvide workload coverage, if neededSupport team decisionsOther duties as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
