**Summary** :
Responsible for the management of a portfolio of adversely graded commercial credit relationships for the purpose of rehabilitating the credit or exercising legal remedies. Improves the quality of the portfolio through negotiating satisfactory repayment schedules, obtaining additional collateral and/or restructuring credit facilities, as appropriate.
**Principal Accountabilities** :
+ Manage assigned credits to ensure workout plans are being effectively and efficiently implemented; ensure credit and collateral documents and files are updated and organized; make certain values are current and substantiated; obtain access to other borrower assets to mitigate loss exposure in the event of liquidation.
+ Ensure assigned credits are properly risk rated, per Credit Risk Management policy.
+ Maintains acceptable delinquency and loss ratios within assigned portfolio.
+ Develops action plans and updates to Watch Reports on managed credits.
+ Work effectively with the OREO department to facilitate transfer of properties post foreclosure and assist with marketing and disposal efforts as necessary.
+ Work closely with attorneys and other service providers on lawsuits and bankruptcies.
+ Expense Management-Manage overall collection, litigation, and management efforts to minimize loan collection expenses. Make certain funds expended in the process of managing, collecting, or litigating assigned accounts stand a reasonable chance of minimizing losses or recovering additional losses. Regular attendance required, working at the work site during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.

+ Maintains client information in complete confidence.
+ Completes other specified duties as assigned.
+ Regular attendance required, working at the assigned worksite, or assigned remote location during regular business hours and/or assigned hours.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ 4-year degree in a business-related field.
+ Excellent PC skills with an emphasis on MS Word and Excel, mainframe applications.
+ Superior written and oral communication skills
+ Ability to travel for extended periods.
+ Expert knowledge of state and federal bankruptcy and collection laws and requirements
+ 10+ years in Special Assets and related experience in a banking environment.
+ Management Experience in a credit quality environment
**Physical Requirements:**
The work environment is typical of a standard office setting. The position is sedentary, exerting 0 – 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. It involves sitting most of the time but may also involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Reaching may be required involving extending arms in any direction. Office equipment, such as a computer and telephone will be used requiring the use of hands and fingers to manipulate a keyboard or keypad. Visual ability to read a computer screen or written documents is necessary. Speaking ability to express or exchange ideas; impart oral information to customers or to the public; or convey detailed or important spoken instructions by means of the spoken word is required. Hearing is necessary to receive detailed information through oral communication.
