Position Overview:

Lead the development and implementation of IEPs tailored to students' unique learning needs by providing direct instruction and using various teaching techniques to achieve their academic and developmental goals. Regularly assess, record, and monitor students' progress, adapting the curriculum and instructional strategies as need for student success. The Special Education Teacher serves as a primary liaison for families and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, to coordinate services to ensure a unified approach for each student's education. Create and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and personal growth. 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree (Required) Must have either: CT Certification in Special Education (Preferred) May consider candidates In the Process of obtaining the SPED Certification Minimum of 3 years experience as a Special Education Teacher (Preferred)
