Special Education Teacher

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full time special education teacher for the 24/25 school year.
Dates of assignment: February 24, 2025 through June 6, 2025
Number of school sites: Two
Class/Service level: Special Day Class and Resource Specialist Program
Grades: TK, Kindergarten, First Grade, Fourth Grade (but other grades could be added
Caseload: 27-28 to start
Hours: 7:30am to 3:30pm (paid hours on duty per day = 7.5)
Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Designated IEP Case Manager; Supporting the classroom teacher (sub) with instructional planning to address goals when they're helping to provide specialized academic instruction to the students on this assignment's caseload; Writing/drafting IEPs and completing responsibilities with IEP documentation: Attending and facilitating IEP Meetings, Conducting academic assessments and writing a short report for this testing; Collaborating with other staff as necessary/needed (such as school psychologists, speech and language pathologists, general education teachers, instructional aides, administration, director of special education, etc.); Communicating with parents as often as needed including daily, etc.;
