Mansfield Juvenile Treatment Center (MJTC) is a 40-bed, all-boys program located on 236 acres at the foot of the stunning Poteau Mountains, offering breathtaking lakeview sunsets and fresh mountain air. Pay: Follows an approved Teacher Pay Scale, starting at $50,000 a year and increasing based on level of education and experience.

What you will do: A Special Education Teacher will work primarily with students in an educational setting delivering a curriculum of Target Teaching methodologies. As a teacher, you will track student attendance, maintain student grades, prepare lesson plans, and assist as needed in the classroom setting. With proven and efficient school policies and procedures, the Special Education Teacher will respond to the needs of students who have a variety of ability levels. 

To be considered you should: Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree~ Have an active teacher's certification in Special Education~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry ~ Must meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver's License 

Schedule:  Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
