High School Special Education Teacher Level III 9-12 grade 1.0 FTE position + Education & Certification + Iowa Teaching license- Required + Endorsement for Instructional Strategist II: ID (264) + Certified to administer Iowa Alternative Assessments Experience + + Experience working with students with diverse needs in a Level III classroom + Familiarity with alternative assessments and individualized education programs (IEPs). + Skills + Strong understanding of differentiation and curriculum modification. + Effective communication and collaboration with parents, staff, and support teams. + Proficiency and timeliness in data collection and progress monitoring. + Responsibilities + Design and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with alternative assessment frameworks. + Administer and document alternative assessments. + Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development. + Initiate and participate in collaboration with general education teachers. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations. + Support and facilitate extracurricular access for students assigned to your roster. + Foster a Level III educational environment that focuses on instructional strategies to enhance learning. + Support a system that is conducive to para-professional success.
