Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere.We are currently offering a $5,000 sign on bonus for a Full Time- Special Education Teacher- to join our, Prospect Center team! Responsibilities: + Serve as a leader of the classroom, providing direction to an interdisciplinary team of professionals and paraprofessionals. + Supervise and directing the work of classroom education staff. + Collaborate with parents, school districts and other agencies to ensure that student needs are met. Minimum Qualifications: + Initial NYS Certification in Special Education + Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and (currently pursuing Masters) required. Master’s degree in Special Education is preferred + Must be at least 18 years old + Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently + 1 year of job related experience specifically in teaching in the field of special education + Creative and energetic Pay range for this position is $49,315.50 - $71,311.50. Rate of pay is commensurate with experience, education and certifications.
