THE JOB:
The primary responsibility of the Special Events Coordinator is to support the Special Events and with the overall planning, coordination, and execution of all events and promotions.
THE STARTING RATE: $21.50
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Support the overall planning, coordination, and execution of all events and promotions; coordinate assistance from all departmentsAttend events and promotions to ensure proper execution and serve as the point of contactCompose event and promotion-related communications, including guest letters, property wide memos, event fact sheets and all property event and promotion collateralDevelop and manage relationships with vendors/entertainment to ensure all prerequisites are met during the events and promotionsCreate rules for all events and promotions; seek approval from Compliance, Legal and Marketing teams as appropriateRecommend gifts for events/promotions and schedules, prepare gift presentationsProcess payments for vendors and event/promotion collateral, including creating check requisitions and purchase requisitions for approval and ensure payment is receivedTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
One (1) year of experience in Events Planning and or MarketingExperience working in a similar resort settingProficiency in Microsoft Office, casino systems and other relevant softwareAble to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal formsAbility to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environmentExcellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detailExcellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contactsTHE PERKS & BENEFITS:
