THE JOB:
The Special Event Coordinator is primarily responsible for designing, selling, and producing special events for corporate, social, and/or in-house clients. This role ensures that all events are executed on time, within budget, and in alignment with company standards. You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.
THE STARTING RATE: $20.00 / Per Hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Coordinate pre-production, production, and post-event activities under the guidance of the Special Events Manager, overseeing tasks such as the installation, placement, and removal of event-related materials (signage, décor, etc.)Facilitate communication across properties and departments, using inter-office memos and other correspondence to coordinate tasks and support event execution, while driving process improvementsWork with vendors to manage event logistics, including coordinating entertainment (e.g., models, emcees, bands, DJs), handling talent fees, contracts, bids, photography, gifts, décor, linen, staff uniforms, and transportationCollaborate with Casino Marketing teams, property Special Events teams, and brand marketing and creative services to provide feedback and ensure timely marketing efforts for eventsSupport and implement enterprise-wide standards, adhering to the approved efficiencies of the Events Center of ExcellenceMaintain and update the marketing portal with event details, including criteria, schedules, prize structures, and earning criteriaTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
High school diploma, GED or educational equivalentNevada State Gaming RegistrationMust be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidaysTwo (2) years of experience in Guest Experience or Event PlanningAbility to think creatively and voice ideas that would improve the current processes in placePossess excellent working knowledge of PC computer software programs to include but not limited to; Microsoft Office, Outlook, Canva, Amadeus, AdobeExceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholdersAbility to multi-task with excellent organizational skills having particular attention to quality, timeliness, and detailAbility to sit for long periods and withstand various activities such as frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching overhead, pulling, and be able to lift up to 20 lbs.THE PERKS & BENEFITS:
