Ensures all events adhere to best practices, college policies, and safety procedures to provide a secure and successful experience for all attendees. Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of college events, including vendors, venues, staffing, marketing, logistics, and on-site management.Serve as a talent manager by recruiting, coordinating, and overseeing staff and volunteers essential to the success of major events and projects.Manage event budgets, secure contracts, approvals, and negotiate with vendors to minimize costs, risks, and liabilities.Maintain event calendars, guest and vendor lists, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution.Build and sustain relationships with internal and external partners, with flexibility to support events outside standard business hours. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.Minimum of 4 years of experience in event planning, coordination, and execution.Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event management software and budgeting processes. Benefits and Perks: Competitive pay rate of $28.40/hour.Medical Benefits via contractor planTraining & growth opportunityAbility to work for a government entityYour New Organization:A leading community college serving the Houston metropolitan area, committed to providing high-quality educational opportunities and support to the local community.
