Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a Special Investigations Analyst to join our Brand Risk Management team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will serve as the central liaison for regional and cross-regional Brand Risk Management, handling stakeholder escalations effectively and ensuring prompt delivery of actionable objectives and strategic plans. Interpret data trends to recognize new opportunities, craft actionable insights, and refine processes to advance investigative and development efforts, enhance growth, and ensure compliance with risk thresholds. Promote collaboration on cross-functional issues involving Brand Risk Management (BRM), engaging with internal stakeholders such as Sales, HO&U, Public Relations, Legal, Compliance/AML, Global Investigations, and the Financial Intelligence Unit.

In this position, you will ensure activities across PayPal adjacency platforms comply with PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy. You will collaborate with Investigators, Data Scientists, Product Developers, and the core PayPal team to develop risk and compliance frameworks for existing and new emerging verticals.

In your day-to-day role, your responsibilities include:

Act as primary point of contact for regional and cross-regional Brand Risk Management escalations; address stakeholder escalations and ensure timely delivery of review outcomes, case escalations, and on-boarding reviews.Facilitate collaboration on cross-functional matters with a BRM-component, including interaction with internal stakeholders such as Sales, HO&U, Public Relations, Legal, Compliance/AML, Global Investigations, Financial Intelligence Unit, etc.Review and attend to internal and external BRM case escalations and deliver review outcomes promptly.Prepare detailed reports and readouts for senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.Continually assess emerging risks posed by external factors including regulatory changes, payment partners, and evolving consumer/public sentiment.Create and amend policies, strategies, and processes to support investigators and product developers, enabling business growth while ensuring alignment with reputational, legal, and processor risk appetites.Manage relations with external parties, including rights holders, network payment partners, regulators, law enforcement agencies, and industry partners.Lead strategically important projects as agreed upon by the leadership team.

What do you need to bring

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Legal, Criminal Justice, or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 5 years' experience conducting research and investigations related to Fraud, Anti-Money Laundering, Customer/Enhanced Due Diligence investigation, or verifications.Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail in investigations, analysis, and writing.High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and sense of urgency.Experience with Card Network requirements is a plus.
