REEDS Jewelers is thrilled to announce we're hiring a Special Orders Associate to join our corporate office in Wilmington, NC.
When a customer is inspired to tell their story and commemorate an important life experience, it can become a "special order," or a piece of jewelry customized to perfection. Special Order Associates are point people for service teams and designers as they facilitate custom jewelry orders.
It's okay if you're not familiar with the jewelry industry yet. This entry level position is your foot in the door of a proud and well established Wilmington family business and exposes you to the nuts and bolts of successful operations. REEDS offers excellent training on the industry, designers, and helps you develop the skills to set you up for long term success.

This position follows our corporate office schedule policy which is Hybrid with ability to work from home and also come into the office as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Responsible for clarifying order requirements, setting up PLU’s for special order merchandise as necessary, then creating and sending purchase orders
+ Professionally assist stores and the REEDS customer in providing accurate and timely information on custom sales and special orders, including monitoring vendor and store delivery dates
+ Ability to quickly initiate and maintain key vendor relationships, establishing respect and trust to ensure a strong and lasting partnership
+ Work inter-departmentally to achieve resolution to customer and/or vendor issues
+ Continuously monitor the status of special orders to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely processing and delivery
+ Coordinate and assist the Quality Control Department with return shipping of rejected special orders back to the vendor

Requirements
Qualifications
+ BA degree or equivalent, preferred
+ Computer proficient; Microsoft Office
+ Strong communication skills
+ Must be goal oriented, results driven & self-motivated to make a difference at every opportunity
+ Impeccable attention to detail and follow through including ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize tasks within a fast paced work environment
+ Exceptional written, verbal, negotiation and communication skills
+ Must be organized and able to work as a part of a team
+ Internet access and quiet at home work space
