Special Procedures/Interventional Radiology Tech Full Time Days

Job Summary

Performs direct and indirect functions in the Interventional Radiology. Assists all staff with clinical and technical aspects of cardiovascular care. Utilizing specialized equipment to perform a variety of invasive, surgical and diagnostic procedures. Prepares rooms, supplies and equipment for patient and physician usage. Maintains inventory levels in department. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Education: Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technologists General Radiographer certification, State of Florida (HRS ) Current ARRT License Current BLS certification

Minimum Experience

Prefer one year hospital experience providing cardiac cath, radiology, or special procedures experience.

Working Conditions:

Subject to normal working conditionsLifting up to 40 poundsOn-call duty

Frequently required to lift, move or turn patients.Occasionally required to lift greater than 40 pounds with staff assistance and/or approved lifting deviceConsistently required to communicate with patients and staff.Competencies in literacy (ability to write and speak English).Routine exposure to radiation with appropriate barrier provided
