Job SummaryThe Special Process Electronic Quality Auditor Subject Matter Expert will be responsible for auditing special processes at aerospace manufacturing sites and suppliers, ensuring compliance with Nadcap and customer requirements. The position requires experience in auditing globally diverse teams, interacting with senior management, addressing challenging customer issues, and solving complex problems with a degree of ambiguity. Travel will be required for on-site audits, including locations across the US, Mexico, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Conduct audits for Special Processes at aerospace customer manufacturing sites and suppliers.
+ Perform audits based on Nadcap and customer-specific checklists for Electronic Special Processes (e.g., PBA, PB, C&H, and CC).
+ Identify non-compliance issues and document opportunities for improvement.
+ Work with sites to ensure timely and effective corrective actions are implemented.
+ Use technical expertise to assess compliance with special process requirements.
+ Support the continuous improvement of auditing processes within the Aerospace sector.
+ Provide subject matter expertise in the auditing of electronic special processes, ensuring alignment with industry standards and customer expectations.
Basic Qualifications
+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (15 years of experience) plus 2 years of experience in special processes, or an Associate's Degree (13 years of experience and 2 years of college) plus 2 years of aerospace quality or special process experience.
+ US Citizenship required.
+ Experience and validation of special process technical knowledge, documented by a Certified Accessor Auditor (CAA), Certifying Agent (CA), or Source Certifying Agent (SCA).
+ 40 hours of Quality System training, including auditing and use of Acceptance Criteria (AC).
+ Completion of a minimum of two Special Process training audits under the direction of a qualified CAA, CA, or Aerospace Network Auditor for each special process category.
+ Knowledge and experience with Nadcap special processes and aerospace quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
+ PRI Nadcap Audit experience.
+ Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
+ Qualified auditor to industry requirements for AS9100 and two or more special processes.
+ Expertise in Electronic Special Processes such as PBA, PB, C&H, and CC.
+ Strong knowledge of aerospace quality practices and industry standards.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual communication tools (e.g., Teams).
+ Ability to train and approve new special process auditors.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Experience with project management and leadership in complex team settings.
+ Ability to identify risks and take actions to mitigate them, ensuring positive results.
+ Demonstrated leadership in driving quality improvements and step change initiatives.
+ Ability to interface effectively with leadership at all levels.
+ Strong problem-solving skills, including data interpretation and solution implementation.
+ Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and application.
+ Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication in diverse environments.
Salary Range $60.00 to $100.00 hourly
