Special Process Engineer

Could you be the full-time onsite Special Process Engineer in West Mifflin, PA, US we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your process engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, collaborative, and innovative teammates. You'll lead the charge in enhancing our manufacturing engineering capabilities, focusing on special processes such as Torquing, Riveting, Bonding, and Crimping. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Production, Quality, and Safety departments), manage and develop your Manufacturing Engineering team, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

Building and implementing an induction and training program for new team members,

Deploying industrialization standards, including Method Time, EHS, Ergonomics, and Work Instructions,

Implementing IS tools for industrialization processes, including PLM (DELMIA), ERP (GSI), and MES,

Supporting product/project industrialization in coordination with the PIM and monitoring the progress of industrial deliverables,

Managing Special Processes effectively within Industrialization efforts,

Maintaining and updating the skills matrix and developing an annual training plan for the team,

Applying industrialization methodologies such as ICONE, P-FMEA, Control Plan, QRQC, and Task Sequencing,

Assisting the team with industrialization activities and ensuring the accuracy and quality of deliverables like Work Instructions and Task Sequencing

Degree in engineering, process engineering, mechanical, electronics, electrical, or other related field.,

Experience or understanding of manufacturing or manufacturing engineering, preferably in the railway industry.,

Knowledge of Process Engineering and writing manufacturing work instructions.,

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.,

A certification or communication skill in conveying complex information effectively.,

Team management experience.,

Proficiency in using an ERP system for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up.,

Technical experience with Process FMEA, QRQC.,

Acquaintance with CAD and PLM tools (CATIA, DELMIA…).,

Awareness of IS common tools.,

Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.,

Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
