The School of Education Dean's Office is hiring a Special Projects Coordinator to handle administrative tasks, manage special projects, support school-wide events, and enhance outreach efforts. Reporting to the Executive Assistant to the Dean, this coordinator will provide support for initiatives such as the Transfer Pathways Summit, Community Transfer Scholars’ Program, Summer College Access Programs, the Dean’s Ignite Speaker Series (e.g., arrange housing, travel, and other logistical arrangements) etc. The role involves working closely with the SOE communications and marketing unit for event promotion, conducting program evaluations, and serving as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
In addition to providing programmatic and project support, the coordinator will assist in:
Planning networking events, partner engagement and community building activities.
Monitoring program development, timelines, and communication.
Maintaining calendars and scheduling of activities and events for various programs; as well as participation in SOE and campus committees, community events, meetings, and affiliated activities.
Candidates should be:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google G-Suite,
Possess strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills; and demonstrate an understanding of organizational operations and problem-solving abilities.
Align with the school’s values of integrity, equity, and excellence, and be able to work effectively with diverse faculty, staff, students, and community partners.
Proficient in ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to meet deadlines, understand and follow directions, pay attention to detail; keep and maintain accurate and detailed reports and records; work with sensitive information, maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years of experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology or a related field
3-5 years of project-based work is preferred.
