Job Description

We’re looking for a Asset Recovery Specialist to join our Asset productivity team. You’ll ensure the efficient collection of products across the UKI and manage the performance of our third-parties. In short the role will facilitate collections, either through our in-house team or via third parties, and help identify non-compliance; where the end-user’s are holding onto our assets longer than they should be.

Ideally based in the UK, you’ll need to be in commutable distance of Manchester, where you’ll attend semi-regular meetings with key stakeholders within CHEP.

Key responsibilities

Implementation of Asset Productivity Projects & Strategy 

Responsible for stock & flow metrics & improvements at SRL locations in scope. 

Plan and execute c. 45k 3rd party field visit support across countries responsible  for and ensure that all fulfilment & compliance levels are achieved and focus on performance, data cleansing & alignment, escalations, and account delegation. Support waste reduction plan with CPM (3rd party). 

Act as gatekeeper of all European CPM audit and service visit incidents and escalations. 

Support training plans and compliance measures to maintain quality of 3rd. party agents to agreed SLA’s. 

Support all Zero Harm initiatives cascading ZH processes within own scope and to 3rd parties.  

Support direct cost & overhead targets for 3rd party service agents.  

Attend EU Field and local Asset Management meetings. 

Support the prioritisation of contact options including visits and calls at SRL locations across Europe.  

Monitor RPs and country performance of Minor D’s in countries of operation. 

Provide cover to other team members as per Work Instruction at time of absence. 

Liaison with Logistics and Operations to ensure recovery optimisation and to achieve SLA targets. 

Build positive relationships across CHEP countries, at different levels of the organisation, to ensure objectives are achieved. 

Some European travel and the need to work outside normal office hours

Experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience of 1st line management  

Knowledge of Retail and Distribution networks and Supply Chains 

Sales / Account Management / customer facing experience. 

Commercial experience, process improvement & operational experience.
