About the Role

The position servers as indirect procurement in AIA China Headquarter (CHO) lever, with the application of sourcing and category expertise to fulfill the business demand and acquire fair value for AIA.
Conduct sourcing activities to enhance value and competitive advantage for AIA. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers via driving sourcing strategy and performing effective purchasing tactics to meet business requirements.
Focus on Vendor Management including strategy lever and day to day operation. Collaborates with peers to build up qualified vendor pool with visual, multifaceted analysis. Develops and nurtures internal cross-functional relationships. Develops efficient channels for capturing effective market intelligence.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Sourcing activities 50%Conduct end to end procurement activities under defined category strategy, including RFx, competitive bidding, price negotiation, contract signing and PO follow up Proactively communication with user and provide mentorship on procurement policy & process.Perform sourcing of goods and services in line with AIA’s procurement Policy and practice guideSupport business requirement from operational lever in procurement team.Vendor management 15%Ensure vendor review process is cross-functional and includes key business partners to ensure vendor is delivering perceived valueEnsure regular discussion of opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement

Purchasing Metrics 10%

Ensure that all purchasing savings are supervised and reported in accordance with AIA procurement guideline

Communications 25%Engage key partners and key users to work together in vendor management strategy design and operation. Communicate purchasing policies and procedures to the partners and report exceptions to ensure compliance to the policy and guideline.Connect with management and other staff who have a need to know. Ensure that when issues arise, both the issue and the resolution are communicated in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:

Academic qualification: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience. Previous strategic sourcing experience required.Technical/skill training: Category knowledge with market insight. Familiar with sourcing system, like SAP/AribaWorking experience: At least 4~6 years working experience in multi-national company including 3 years above in procurement or relevant areas.  Knowledge for commodity strategy development & marketing insight.Strong negotiation skills & data analysis skills.  Capability for demand management, sourcing and vendor managementGreat teammate, excellent communication skills to engage collaboratorsExperience in Professional services including health care service, HR related services, etc., is strongly preferred, Experience on other category is a plus.
