Specialist, Clinical Programs and Advocacy Registered Nurse (RN)
How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Specialist, Clinical Programs & Advocacy RN provides strategic and operational support to system-wide health and safety programs with a focus on clinical advocacy for our employees and customer. They will provide strategic, tactical, and operational support to the Wellness team including complex medical case management, telephone triage, travel health consultation, communicable illness management, in-flight medical event preparedness, data analysis, critical incident response support, and cross-divisional consultative support to support health promotion and safety of our employees and customers in addition to Wellness RN consultative support. The Specialist works across all business units and within all levels of the organization with several key contacts with external vendors and EAP, among others. They may provide oversight of non-clinical supportive staff that support common workflows within the team. The Specialist employes strong CQI focus, develops, tracks and reports measurable outcomes, ensures objectives and deliverables support corporate flight plan, and demonstrates strong business acumen and. The Specialist, Clinical Advocacy RN supports the Wellness team in promoting health, wellness, safety, and well-being of our employees and passengers. This position will be based in the Atlanta General Office and report to the Manager, Clinical Programs & Advocacy under the Global Health & Wellbeing (GHW) organization. + Utilizes a high degree of judgement, prioritization, problem-solvingand decision-making to support divisional and organizational initiatives inhealth, wellness, safety, and occupational health compliance programs + Provides complex medical case management and coordination of planexecution with relevant stakeholders + Telephonic triage, health education, and guidance to promote thehealth and wellness of our employees + Supports departmental responsibilities consistent withorganizational and divisional strategic plan, mission, vision and values. + Develops tools and health education resources to align withdivisional and organizational initiatives focused on for safety, healthpromotion, disease prevention, and current health needs of the population weserve. + Communicates and collaborates with leaders, stakeholders, andlocal/government health agencies to promote health and safety for our employeesand customers. + Assesses departmental data for trends and opportunities to improvepolicies and practices across the organization. + Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) to promote health,wellbeing, and safety to achieve positive quality outcomes What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) + Minimum 2 years nursing + Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Georgia. + Experience in occupational health, public health, safety, case management, or related fields in nursing. + Significant and robust clinical triage and telephonic RN experience + Broad clinical nursing knowledge + Possesses strong decision-making, problem-solving, project management and communication skills and demonstrate sound, independent nursing judgment. + Working knowledge of communicable illness management, infectious disease, travel health, and or public health as it impacts a global employer. + Strong case management and telephonic triage skills + Highly motivated, energetic individual with strong organizational and interpersonal skills + Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles + Self-starter initiative to push towards next steps + Must have the ability to plan, organize, work independently and manage multiple tasks and shift priorities to meet deadlines + Ability to learn quickly, navigate ambiguous problems, and approach work in a flexible way + Accurate, timely, and effective service delivery in fast-paced work environment + Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical record software. + Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. + Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. + Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. + Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States. What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) + Strong preferencefor candidates with a certification from American Academy of Ambulatory CareNursing (AAACN). + Strong preferencefor candidates with current certification from the American Board forOccupational Health Nurses (ABOHN). + Working knowledgeof communicable illness management, infectious disease, travel health, and/orpublic health as it impacts a global employer. + HA CPR-AEDinstructor certification is desirable. + Prior experiencein aviation, corporate workforce, or occupational health setting.
