Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an experienced Contracts Professional Specialist (L3) to join our team in Norfolk, VA. You will be responsible for all aspects of contract negotiations and administration, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations (FAR/DFARS).
Essential Functions:
Proposal Preparation and Coordination, Review and Approval Negotiations, Draft Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) and ensuring that T&Cs align with company policies and legal requirements.Manage Contract Changes and Scope CreepAssist with contract lifecycle from initiation through execution, renewal, and closeout.Ensure contracts comply with FAR/DFAR requirements, company policies, and industry standards.Maintain accurate and organized contract documentation and records.Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills.Identify and escalate potential risks associated with contract and performance metrics.Collaborate with internal functions and customers to negotiate terms and resolve disputes.Work closely with program team, peers, and legal department to resolve contractual and/or legal issues as they surface.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.Degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field.Experience as a Contracts Administrator, Contract manager, Subcontracts Administrator, or similar role preffered. Advanced knowledge and understanding of the FAR and DFARS.Please be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
