Position Summary:

In the role of Destination Insider - Group & Private Journey Specialist, you will be at the forefront of actively promoting and selling both high-end private excursions tailored to smaller parties (up to 15 guests) and group shore excursions for larger parties (16 guests or more) for the Celebrity Brand. Collaboration is key as you work directly with guests, travel partners, internal sales teams, and various departments to not only meet but exceed revenue targets while upholding the values of “The Celebrity Way” by providing consistent elevated hospitality in every interaction. Your dedication to cultivating new business opportunities through Salesforce, internal and external connections, and proactive engagement with existing clients will drive success in this dynamic sales environment. You will also be involved in special projects that contribute to the overall growth and efficiency of our operations.

Technical Competence: Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing diverse computer systems, including Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce, to streamline sales processes. Time Management: You'll have the flexibility to manage your day, but strong organizational skills are essential for staying efficient and productive. Willingness to Travel: Openness to travel up to 10% of the year for training, conventions, presentations, or onboard assistance, reflecting a commitment to achieving sales objectives and fostering travel partnerships. Destination Knowledge: Strong knowledge of cruise ports, tours, and itineraries (Caribbean, Europe, Baltic, South America, Australia, Asia, Mediterranean, and Alaska) is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Educate and Promote: Enlighten guests, travel partners, and teams on the value propositions of our Private Journey and Group Shore Excursions Programs, delivering tailored experiences to meet the diverse needs of clients and maximize satisfaction and revenue streams. Build Strong Relationships: Cultivate enduring relationships with guests, internal teams, and key business travel partners to stimulate repeat business and growth, ensuring meticulous and timely documentation of sales activities. Presentation Proficiency: Craft compelling presentations, proposals, and contracts with finesse, collaborating closely with Shore Excursions Account Managers and Tour Operators to curate bespoke experiences for clients. Engagement and Training: Engage in sales events, trade shows, and training opportunities, adept at presenting to varied audiences and conducting enlightening training sessions on excursion options with internal departments. Pricing Strategy and Negotiation: Devise competitive private and group tour pricing strategies inclusive of margins and commissions for travel partners, empowered to negotiate within stipulated parameters and entice guests with attractive offers. Effective Communication: Coordinate and manage multiple small and large groups to ensure our department meets its communication and revenue goals. Work Hours: While your day is typically office hours, you can expect a busy schedule and flexibility is required. This may include some late-night hours for conference calls with vendors or guests in different time zones. Additional Responsibilities: Fulfill ad-hoc duties as assigned, including travel requirements, adherence to job-related functions, and a strong focus on achieving predetermined revenue targets.
