**Job Summary:**
The EHS Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and policies. The role involves identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries. The EHS Specialist works closely with management, employees, and regulatory agencies to promote a safe and healthy work environment. This position reports to the EHS Director.
**Essential Job Functions:**
+ Representing the company during internal and external safety/environmental audits.
+ Developing and maintaining safety and environmental programs, including compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
+ Investigating accidents, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
+ Conducting safety and environmental training.
+ Managing workers' compensation claims and maintaining relevant records.
+ Serving as the liaison with regulatory agencies and ensuring required permits are obtained and maintained.
+ Leading safety committees and coordinating safety efforts across teams.
+ Developing contingency plans for emergencies and maintaining hazardous materials oversight.
· All other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience:**
+ **Education:** Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.Sc.) or equivalent experience (3 years ).
+ **Experience and Knowledge:** A background in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) or a willingness to learn, with knowledge of federal and state regulations.
+ **Training:** Formal and recurrent training in Hazardous Waste Management, OSHA compliance, and RCRA issues.
**Travel:**
· Occasional travel to other U.S. facilities to train/develop/mentor on-site employees

· Office/Airplane Hangars
