Specialist, Global Procurement, Facilities, Capital & Logistics
The Global Procurement Specialist will support the planning and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives using the sourcing process supporting Facilities, Capital & logistics. This person will develop sourcing specifications, requirements and related scope of work that is consistent with Regeneron’s business requirements. This position will conduct data gathering, support spend analytics, assist in delivering measurable cost savings, and monitor savings against contract. We are looking for someone who will support evaluations through the development of RFQs, RFIs and RFPs and may participate in negotiations. The Sourcing Specialist actively participates in supplier selection and provides data and recommendations to ensure informed selection decisions. This role supports the supplier on-boarding process while supporting the sourcing/category manager on the creation and negotiation of contracts. The Specialist will support all vendor management activities which includes, but is not limited to preparing QBR data and measuring supplier performance. **A typical day might include:** + Accountable for supporting the definition and implement ion of the global Facilities, Capital and Logistics Category strategy to serve global and regional business needs as assigned. + Supports negotiations, supplier management activities, and collaborator engagement activities for the Facilities, Capital and Logistics Category as assigned. + Takes direction to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities. + Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution of the Global Procurement organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities. + Supports category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable. + Uses data to drive decision-making for successful category projects. **This role might be for you if you have:** + Basic understanding of contract language and experience working with Legal and internal partners to draft contract documents that support the category. + Builds relationships with internal teams and suppliers and get results for Regeneron. + Success supporting cross-functional teams to get results in FC&L categories or related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management. + Provide insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, and costing structures to enable optimal negotiations. + Uses external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement to constantly improve Regeneron’s knowledge of supply market dynamics. + Demonstrated success supporting the global supply market evaluation process using all available market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools. + Working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERP’s, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other) + Ability to use standard business applications for communicating, presenting and analyzing (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) We are looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant, 3-5 years of progressive experience in procurement.
