The HFS Reconciliation & Control team is responsible daily reconciliation of transactions and positions for Hedge Fund Services clients. Key Responsibilities:• Data Reconciliation: Perform/Review daily, monthly, and ad-hoc reconciliations of accounts, transactions, and balances between internal financial systems and external sources (e.g., bank statements, investment records, vendor reports).
• Variance Analysis: Identify and investigate discrepancies in financial data, analyze root causes, and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution with internal and external stakeholders
• Control Oversight: Maintain and enforce controls, ensuring data accuracy and review of defined controls
• Collaboration: Work closely with India team and client operation teams to resolve issues and improve process efficiency.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation and control processes. Recommend and implement best practices to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and control measures.
• Compliance and Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing reconciliation records, documentation, and insights on process controls.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience in a reconciliation, financial control, or similar finance-related role is a plus
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables). Experience with reconciliation tools is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach to work and the ability to spot discrepancies.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain findings and collaborate with team members.
• Organizational Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ethical Awareness: High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive financial data.

Salary Range:
$114,700 - 194,900 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
