Role Overview:
This pivotal role involves providing specialized cybersecurity support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD). This position plays a crucial part in the development, accreditation, and maintenance of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages essential for all NSWCPD Land Based Test Sites. The successful candidate will ensure comprehensive Cyber Security and Information Assurance (IA) Hardening for all systems, encompassing both Ashore and Afloat components within the Land Based Test Sites, directly contributing to the operational readiness and security posture of the Navy's fleet.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and maintenance of RMF packages to achieve and maintain ATO for all Land Based Test Site Systems. Implement and oversee cybersecurity measures in compliance with DoD 8510.01 RMF for IT, ensuring secure system configurations and hardening against vulnerabilities. Provide server and desktop administrative support, including the installation, configuration, and integration of new technology with IT security standards. Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments using tools like eMASS and ACAS, addressing system security reviews, and troubleshooting system configurations to meet DoD and RMF requirements. Prepare and submit RMF Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) packages, ensuring compliance with relevant DoD and NAVSEA directives. Engage in cybersecurity documentation, creating technical manuals, reports, and system architecture diagrams that comply with RMF documentation requirements. Support certification test and evaluation processes, troubleshooting new security features, and maintaining system security postures. Execute remediation tasks based on evaluations and recommendations to mitigate risks and secure systems effectively. Program management responsibilities including tracking progress, developing metrics, and reporting on Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
Minimum Qualifications: Five (5) years of cybersecurity experience, specifically in DISA Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS). Must meet IA Workforce Baseline for IAT Level III as per DoD 8570.01-M, with current and active certifications such as CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH. Requires a Secret Security Clearance and US Citizenship. Associate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) field, or related technical discipline. Secret Security Clearance is mandatory for consideration.
