Your impact

The Specialist, IT Infrastructure Project Management will oversee the strategic planning, governance, and execution of capital projects within the Digital Infrastructure Portfolio. This role will ensure that agreed upon projects are aligned with business and Digital goals, efficiently managed, and delivered on time and within budget and transitioned to support in an efficient manner.
 

As part of our team you will Develop project plans and schedules, including resources, and timelinesCoordinate with internal teams, including Digital, Operations, and Site and Regional resources, Supply Chain, to ensure smooth implementationCollaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and software and relevant servicesMonitor project progress and identify any potential roadblocks or issues, and develop and implement solutions as neededMaintain an up to date project schedule (weekly) along with a RAID log; communicate project updates and progress to stakeholders, including senior leadershipEnsure project deliverables meet the defined quality standards and requirementsProperly document action items from meetings and tasks at a detailed level, including clear next steps and deadlines for completion. Follow through on open items with third party vendors and internal Newmont teams.Prerequisites for success in this role Minimum 5-10 years of experience designing and delivering and supporting large scale infrastructure projects in the role of project manager. Bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent is requiredHas held project manager role for an end to end global project implementationHas managed multiple projects  simultaneouslyOutstanding written presentation skills and strong verbal communication skills including technical and business focused communicationsPMI-PMP certification preferredProven experience managing infrastructure projects  and projects serving a global audience. Must have strong business acumen. Can articulate technical concepts to stakeholders and is highly collaborative with ability to work well and interact with various departments throughout the organizationStrong verbal and written communication skills and ability to translate complicated concepts to non-technical audience. Strong project management skills, including experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PMP).Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong change management skills to guide teams through transitions .Meticulous attention to detail with respect to documentation for meeting agendas, meeting minutes, action, decisions, issue management, risk management, schedule management, scope managementUnderstanding of the mining industry, including operational processes and regulatory requirements.Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Advanced time management skills.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $108,000 to 141,750. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.  The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.  

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
