Responsibilities:
Oracle database administration, analysis and performance optimization utilizing indexes and dynamic tables. Performing PL/SQL scripting, monitor database conditions, proactively rebuild indexes, and perform routine maintenance tasks. Managing WebLogic server domains, clusters, deployments and monitoring or tuning WebLogic server performance. Installation, configuration, and administration activities on Linux operating system. Managing Linux OS services, performing troubleshooting, and implementing security best practices. Performing full backups on the Spectrum Power TG EMS and HIS systems and restoring the system in case of partial or full failures. Monitoring EMS/HIS system processes, CPU, disk space, and network traffic and ensuring system efficiency and reliability.
Qualification and Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent. 8 years of field experience with major utility organizations or SCADA system manufacturers. Energy Management System and Historical Information Systems knowledge. Spectrum Power TG EMS software applications and Oracle administration and development tools (Oracle database, forms and reports, PL/SQL, application server and web logic server). Experience in Linux operating systems, command-line tools, scripting, and automation.
