Job Title: Specialist, Material Process Engineer Job Code: 20692 Job Location: Orange, VA Job Schedule: 9/80 Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off Job Description: Seeking a Material Process Engineer to work in a lab environment performing various wet chemistry techniques, moisture analyses, particle size analysis, calorimetry, mechanical property testing. Essential Functions: + Manage projects and/or labatory test with general supervision. + Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. + Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. + Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results. + Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior Material Process Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior Material Process Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Material Process Engineering experience.
