The Product Solutions Team develops solutions for client segments for specific requirements and problems utilizing the domain product management products and services. This role defines and executes on strategies that deliver Northern Trust services (across product domains and business units) in order to position the organization in a leading consultative space. This role focuses on execution of strategic direction of business function activities. They manage profitability guaranteeing strong revenue and margin streams.. They develop a cohesive unified product development roadmap and ensures a successful execution. They will bring a highly consultative nature to the client segment ensuring that the strategy is constantly evolving with strong input from clients and market place.

Major Duties :

Defines the solution strategy and ensures executions against the entire life cycle of the product solution and resolves issues that impact the delivery of a capability or service.Executes against a product plan that accomplishes the strategic goals determined by senior management.Develops a Long-Term Strategic Product Plan that defines emerging product and revenue opportunities to expand market share, helps to resolve issues related to markets, the types of solutions and the opportunities that the company will invest in and the resources required to support product development.Defines and executes against roadmaps for strategic plans.Implements Marketing, Promotional Communications, Sales Tools and Training for the team. Works with Strategic Marketing to develop all internal and external communication and positioning around the product.Creates sales tools and ensuring appropriate training is provided for the products supported.Assists in Sales and Distribution Channel Support.Drives sales and distribution support for their product.Ensures that their products are being sold by supporting functions.Monitors Financial and Profitability Management by coordinating with operations and financial management to monitor capital expenses, revenue and expenses.Shapes the financial contribution of the product.Coordinates the resolution of issues of government compliance and attempts to minimize the systemic risks of offering a solution.Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issuesDisplays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
 

Knowledge :

Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and / or business knowledge and functional expertise.Focus of role is on execution of strategic direction of business function activities.Deep knowledge of the products and relevant markets.Proven background in negotiation with clients with significant wins and in building revenue and business.Strong client servicing and presentation skills.Strong ability to influence at all levels of organization to ensure delivery.Proven leadership skills in building business and bringing people along.Strong organizational skills in order to effectively execute.Ability to convey solutions at across wide domain of expertise/ functions.Ability to run effective and highly professional and interactive client workshops- understand client’s problem, assess what is required to be delivered and consult internally to deliver solutions from existing or new capabilities.


Experience :10 years in the asset servicing/ asset management industry with minimum 5 years in a Product Solutions Management role.

Salary Range:

$114,700 - 194,900 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
