Gray Construction is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to join their team in Lexington, KY.

What we expect… (Essential Functions)

Assist the project management team in developing the project cost work breakdown structure and job cost set upDevelop project invoice schedule of valuesCoordinate subcontractor prequalification enrollmentManage the project cost tracking logManage subcontract and vendor invoicesPrepare project change request and customer change ordersPrepare commitment change ordersPrepare subcontract and PO requisitionTrend project cost and report deviations from planComplete project cost segregation for project close outManage project tax incentives and reporting where applicablePrepare projects for close-out including review of commitments, cost, and contract valuesProvide support for job cost audits and project-specific cost reporting requirementsPrepare bi-weekly project financial reportsDevelop, update and monitor job progress using QMS program, including scheduling, estimating and budgeting to ensure that construction of project parallels with schedule.Perform quantity take off(s), cost estimates and bid solicitation.Supports project manager in reviewing and approving invoices and change orders.Attend weekly job site meetings. Assist in the preparation of various reports to assist in the successful management of the project(s), such as: monthly red files, progress analysis/schedules, billings and status reports.Assist in the organization and maintenance of job files to ensure continuity of workflow. Submit verbal and written reports on project status to supervisor.Communicate effectively with customer, direct consultants and subcontractors on the project(s).Other duties may be assigned.

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in accounting, mathematics, construction management, finance or related degree and/or a minimum of three years related experience.            Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, CMS, and e-mail applications. Generally, normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Overtime may be required.
