Job Description:

Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Specialist Project Engineer for our Huntsville, AL Headquarters location. The Specialist Project Engineer role involves performing and/or coordinating propulsion program tasks in conjunction with program management. Under general direction, you will be responsible for implementing design and analysis tasks and overseeing special studies and experiments. Additionally, you will coordinate ballistic, thermal, and structural analyses, as well as perform post-test examination, analyses, and reporting while supporting the program technical lead.

Essential Functions:

Provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving the conventional utilization of engineering techniquesRead, interpret, and write specifications and technical documentsPrepare technical and design requirements in support of project goalsKeep current in relevant technologies and methods in support of project assignmentsProvide direction in problem investigations and resolution across functional areasUnderstanding and/or leads Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processMay be assigned Earned Value Management dutiesTravel: 10%Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior Project Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior Project Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Project Engineering experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:
