The Proposals Specialist is responsible for understanding aspects of the marine market sector, developing proposals in conjunction with operations and marketing, and writing proposals for submission to clients. The Proposals Specialist will be responsible for assisting sales and consulting services to both new and existing clients in support of the overall strategic and business objectives. The Proposals Specialist will need to be highly motivated, self-driven, and enjoy working in a team environment to be successful in this critical role.
What You Will Do:
Follows proposal/project generation process and has a working knowledge of the proposal process. Gather vessel/assets and customer related information required for preparing proposals Utilize the pricing tool and/or fee Schedule for the performance of the fee estimation, within local and regional level. Drafts, edits, and finalizes proposals, with the interaction of Business Development and SMEs. Manages an entire proposal effort and ensures that all bid information is received promptly to allow for the development, review, and approval of the formal proposal. Ensures that proposal is prepared within appropriate deadlines. Assist Business Development to prepare executive summary for senior management alignment and approval Submit the Proposal internally for obtaining the appropriate Approval, based on the current delegation of Authority. Develops and improves style and format of proposals to ensure winning bids. Prepares and issues reports as required by the process. Provides ongoing communications with departmental individuals regarding proposal/project status. Responsible for the maintenance of customer’s files, including on-going update of the electronic databases, Agreements and Contracts tracking lists, calculation files, and correspondence files. Ensure the proposal renewal process for existing Agreements is prepared before the expiration of the existing Agreements. Assist with proposals related administrative duties including maintaining repository, proposal content and template database. Maintains the integrity of the document filing system.What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited university. Graduate from University with Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics /Maritime Economics Typically requires a minimum of three (3) years of project/ report writing, specifically proposals.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Concerned for the accuracy of work performed.
