POSITION SUMMARY:
Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating an engaged community through the social media platforms of the brand, to increase brand awareness in local and global markets. Responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the company's Social Media strategy in order to improve Marketing efforts.
The Specialist, will also monitor site metrics, respond to reader comments, and oversee creative design.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Co-create and implement social media strategy in order to boost visibility and customer and client EngagementDevelop strategy, produce high-quality original content and visualRuns company social media advertising campaigns and analyzes dataDevelops and manages competitions and campaigns that promote the brandCoaches subordinates and employees on content creation best practicesThe Specialist will publish content, monitor site metrics, respond to reader comments, and oversee creative designMonitors the competition and implements research for new trendsResponds to comments on social mediaEngages with local and global influencers for special activitiesAble to develops the right voice for each social media platformWork closely with other BUs (Hotel, F&B, Casino), to create editorial calendars, identify key stories and coordinate actions

Requirements & Qualifications
Experience
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or as a Digital Media Specialist, is essential. Preferable with a Luxury brand or in HospitalityProven ability to build a social media communityExperience developing a social media strategyExperience working with and developing a marketing planKnowledge and understanding of algorithms and SEOExcellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.Demonstrable social analytics tools knowledgeUnderstanding of multimedia principlesUnderstand how to measure the success of campaignsEducation
Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related area e.g., Marketing, Communications, PR or International StudiesCandidates ideally should hold a bachelor’s degree with concentration on Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital MarketingPERSONAL COMPETENCIES:
Solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly in relation to advertising/branding and customersStrong editing and writing skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to write a successful tweet to using effective storytelling techniquesCreative skills for contributing new and innovative ideasStrong verbal communication skills for articulating ideas to colleagues and clientsOrganizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize work across multiple projectsThe ability to work well under pressureData analysis skills and statistical prowess to draw actionable insightsOnline community management and customer service skills to strike the balance between publicity and stimulating direct discussion with potential and actual customersAn eye for detail and the ability to work accuratelyExcellent team work and networking skills
