Job Description:

L3Harris Broadband Communications Sector invites applications for the role of Specialist, Software Engineer - Test, based in Salt Lake City, UT. This position is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic professional to contribute to the testing and quality assurance of cutting-edge networked data links and subassemblies within L3Harris Technologies.

Essential Functions:

Develop and execute automated test software to ensure product reliability and performance.Define and oversee product test requirements, with a focus on outsourcing strategies.Create, update, and manage comprehensive test procedures and plans.Engage actively in product design reviews, offering insights and recommendations for testability.Establish design-for-test guidelines to streamline the testing process.Conduct thorough root cause analysis to address and resolve failures.Validate test systems through beta testing and verification processes.Troubleshoot and debug products at an engineering level, enhancing product functionality.Lead and coordinate test development projects, including system upgrades and routine maintenance.Monitor and communicate progress on testing, debugging, and engineering tasks effectively.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related Engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

An ABET (EAC/CAC) accredited Bachelor’s Degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Alternatively, candidates with at least 8 years of relevant experience without a degree may be considered.Eligibility to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance is required.Proficiency in Electrical Engineering with expertise in both digital and Radio Frequency (RF) domains.Demonstrated experience with LabVIEW and TestStand (CLD and CTD).Experience in writing automated test software, developing and maintaining test procedures and plans, performing root cause analysis on failures, beta testing and verification of test systems, engineering-level product debugging.
