Specialist, Staff Counsel

Job Description

The candidate must be a qualified lawyer (Legal Degree) from a reputed law school or university and should have more than 4 years of experience as an in-house counsel.

The candidate should be a “hands-on” lawyer and experienced in handling wide range of Vendor agreements preferably in IT domain.

Key Responsibility Areas:

Drafting, reviewing, negotiating Agreements with Vendors, their Amendments, Addendums, SOWs; and interpret such documents for global stakeholders.Working in close interaction with various internal stakeholders from different functions across the globe.Handling Global Procurement Contracts, Software Licensing and NDAsNegotiating the contracts with the attorneys of Vendors and leading closure independently.Provide advice and support on matters related to Contract Management issuesPreparing responses on the contract terms for Vendors by identifying and articulating the legal and business risks. Ensure compliance with laws and company policies while supporting business.Provide support to legal team members from other jurisdictions, where required.Would need to work on internal contract review tool

Required Experience & Skills:

LL.B (Must) / LL.M (optional) with 2-4yrs. of Industry Experience.Must be an expert in Contract drafting, redlining, reviewing and negotiation.Prior experience in IT domain will be an added advantage.Should be skilled in Interpretation of laws and of various legal clauses for jurisdictions worldwide. Global exposure will be highly preferred.Fluent English (written / verbal)Excellent interpersonal skillsNegotiation and draftingAttention to details.Assertiveness and Time ManagementAbility to work in Cross Functional teams, across multiple locations & cultures.
