L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Specialist, Systems Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Carlsbad, CA facility. A Secret Clearance is required for this position.

Position Overview:

As a Systems Engineer you’ll be asked to contribute to program responsibilities including proposal efforts, requirements definition, conceptual design, tradeoffs, detailed design and drawings, prototype build, and integration and test. Documentation efforts of the team will also include Solidworks Electrical Schematic Drafting, DxDesigner PWA Schematic Drafting, Wirelist Creation, Bill-Of-Materials (BOM) Creation, Agile (CMDB) Submissions, and Peer Reviews of EE and ME documentation.

Essential Responsibilities:

Translate end-user/customer needs into end-to-end systems requirementsUnderstand details of underlying technology and product capabilitiesDevelop system use cases and drive system architectureGenerate verifiable product level requirements from high level system requirementsEstablish relationships and coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams to align end-to-end system requirements with product roadmapsSupport and drive development and service deliveryOwn the creation and management of systems engineering activitiesActive DoD Secret clearance required

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Test Equipment including but not limited to O-Scopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, Signal GeneratorsAbility to derive and decompose requirements to multiple sub-systemsAbility to conceptualize, design, implement, and test complex RF, electrical & mechanical systemsExperience in system test and production testExperience with RF Chain AnalysisExperience with MBSEExperience designing Test Fixture and Interface Test Adapter (ITA) designs that meet performance, cost, and manufacturability goalsExperience with Agile (Configuration Management Database), SharePoint, Solidworks 3D, DxDesigner, JIRA, JAMA Software or DOORS Software

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $83,500 - $155,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
