Job Description:

We’re looking for a Specialist, Trade and Cash Operations to join our Finance team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to Ensure accuracy and timeliness of cash and security transactions reflected in AABOR thru adherence process guidelines and quality framework.  Efficient trade capture from different sources and booking derivative transactions into the accounting system. Work closely with onshore, Subject Matter Expert and Team Lead ensure accurate data is booked in the system. Assist in the resolution of reconciliation breaks by booking the discrepancy in the system after validation. Support Middle Office on the fund events on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and validate transactions instructions from MIM/GA teams, onshore and custodians.Diligently work with Middle Office and other investment teams to help resolve cash and positions breaks.Review and validate DUCO cash and position breaks to ensure propose adjustments are accurate.Ensure accurate and timely processing of capital stock, trades, management fees and derivatives in AABOR.Assist SME and Team lead to enforce compliance within existing procedures and processes ensuring clear and concise documentation is created and maintained.Work closely with SME and Senior Specialist in establishing the control framework.Remain updated with relevant securities industry development and market-specific best practices.Provide support to the team as required, to participate in a regular program of industry specific training and interdepartmental cross training to ensure continuity of service.Ensure fund events are monitored closely and necessary update in Informatica, seed capital and TIK/RIK processing are done timely.Ensure timely and accurate booking of dividend distributions and reinvestments.Oversee and ensure accurate and timely processing of trades, cash transactions and derivative activities into the accounting system.Manage response and ensure timely and diligently respond to stakeholders’ requests and inquiries.Keep the procedures and policies up to date and ensure adherence of the team.Provide support to the team as required, to participate in a regular program of industry specific training and inter-departmental cross training to ensure continuity of service.Recognize lapses on different workflows and recommend/initiate process improvements/control measuresConstantly provide coaching to the team by conducting training and preparing/updating conceptual reference materialsActively participate in regular service calls with various onshore partners.Lead and aid on projects – to meet Managements requirements by doing research, identifying needs, developing solutions, and implementing them.Continuously check the relevance of the reports and processes provided by the team to onshore partners.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related course, CISI exam passer is an advantage3-4 years relevant work experienceKnowledge in securities instruments/settlements and investment processClient focused with the ability to prioritize responsibilitiesInfluence and negotiate with team and clients in a sophisticated and demanding business environmentReact quickly and meet tight deadlines maintaining accuracy and thoroughnessDemonstrate flexibility and initiative in working with management and clients, adapting change strategies
