Who we’re looking for  

Reporting to the Director, Commercial Risk and Assurance, the newly created position of Specialist, Value Chain (Customer) will drive the enhancement, deployment and management of a purposeful risk framework that optimizes partnerships and ongoing relationship management with Newmont’s customers, transportation and logistics providers and relevant third parties in line with regulatory requirements and standards. 
 
The primary purpose of the role will be to provide insightful risk assessments that will inform global risks and threats within the Marketing and Transportation and Logistics functions that result in effective risk mitigation strategies. 

To be considered for the position, the ideal applicant will bring significant experience in a global organisation within marketing, transportation and logistics and/or supply chain functions with proven capability in influencing risk management strategy and implementation of sustainable improvement to optimize value protection and meet performance objectives.

To be effective in the role, a confident and engagingly communication style will be key to collaboratively identify opportunities and challenges, to undertake root cause analysis and to develop solutions across Newmont’s cross-functional operations structure. 

The ideal applicant will also have:

•    Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Logistics and/or Risk Management 
•    Industry relevant experience in the global outbound value chain including end customer, transportation and logistics
•    Demonstrated capability in risk assessment, due diligence, value chain analysis and risk management framework design
•    Knowledge of Statutory reporting requirements and Ethical standards compliance
•    Proficient skills in SAP and Ariba and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

This role will suit applicants currently living in Perth, Melbourne or Brisbane. Residents of another Australian capital city will be considered for the ideal candidate.  Full eligibility for employment in Australia will be essential.  

The position will be offered on a hybrid/work from home basis utilising the Newmont capital city office hub when required to be effective in the role.
