SPECIALIST
Job Summary

The Logistics Technician is responsible for properly receiving, inventorying, allocating and shipping assets and products within the WMS eco-system. This includes but is not limited to asset storage, allocation, distribution, security and inventory & asset tracking.

Principal Responsibilities: (Essential Function)
Handle daily inventory management and logistics functions within a computerized distribution operations environment.
Perform the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices,
Assist in sorting, segregating, and disposal of packing materials including recyclable materials.
Maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items.
Prepare and maintain records of items shipped.
Examine stock levels and distribute materials in inventory.
Prepare or assist the project team with kitting packages for bulk shipments or inventory returns.
Perform daily/weekly/monthly cycle-count activities as required.

Inventory and Asset Management
Perform hardware swaps, allocations for shipping and process receipts
Confirm proper storage and security of assets
Maintain correct allocation of inventory
Perform cycle counts (conducting inventories) and assist with audit-cycle count preparation and confirmation tasks
Maintain accuracy of physical and virtual inventory of all client products and assets.
Accountable for maintenance, and inventory of assets and Horizon asset locations.
Accountable for all assets handled, including but not limited to, virtual tracking, physical tracking, physical condition and security.

Horizon Usage
Perform shell swaps, allocations, process receipts and shipments
Create orders for warranty repair team
Accurately record inventory transactions in Horizon
Ensure the proper asset assignment to Horizon contacts

Job Requirements
Education/Experience
High School Diploma
Some college or vocation school experience preferred
3+ years of experience with Logistics and inventory management tasks
International shipping experience is preferred, but not required.
Prior shipping/receiving/stockroom experience and inventory management system experience.
Flexibility of schedule and a high level of individual responsibility are essential
Ability to work overtime as required.

Skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically, Excel)
o Broadly sort and manipulate data and spreadsheets including export from WMS system, pivot tables
Ability to identify and working knowledge of computer components and peripherals
Familiarity and working knowledge of Apple products
Knowledge of receiving unpacking and validating invoices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of packaging and shipping including creation of invoices and declarations.
Ability to very accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to resolve issues impacting shipments or receipts quickly and effectively.
Attention to detail - Ability to produce 100% error free documents.
Ability to keep an organized, clean and safe working station/environment.
Ability to ensure timely and accurate inventory transactions.
Logistics workers must possess the endurance and strength needed to load and unload packages.
Ability to work alone or as a member of a team.
